Jam-packed halls at Media Expo Delhi buzzed with deal closures

19 Oct 2017

Media Expo proved to be one point of contact for the advertising, marketing and signage industry as the 41st edition provided unrivalled options in technology and pricing.

A rainy weekend at New Delhi was perhaps brightened by the colourful prints and LED lights displayed at Media Expo 2017. Business seemed to be seldom hampered as halls 11, 12 and 12A were bustling with visitors who were exposed to unrivalled options in technology and pricing for the products displayed. Covering 12,445 sqm of space, 186 exhibitors from India, China and Korea showcased technological advancements attracting 12,639 business visitors. The event proved to be beneficial for both exhibitors and visitors with halls packed and brimming with fruitful discussions.

With another successful edition of Media Expo, Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd. shared:

“The robust growth of the media and entertainment industry in India indicates that the country is ready to adapt the enormous possibilities this sector has to offer. Media Expo as an exhibition knows the importance of this sector and perfectly serves the purpose as a comprehensive platform where companies exhibiting showcase an array of advanced solutions and eco-friendly options for traditional media. This edition of Media Expo again has generated a good level of enquiries with many striking deals on all three days of the show.”

Smarth Bansal, Senior Product Manager, Colorjet India Ltd, also shared his excitement: “Media Expo has been a great platform for us as it adds a lot of value to the brand. This year again, we are very pleased with the kind of visitor response we have received at the exhibition. Also, we are very happy to announce that we have closed more than 100 deals for Solvent, Eco Solvent and UV Printers in three days flat at Media Expo 2017, Delhi which marks record sales in the history of Media Expo.”

Media Expo also successfully positioned itself as a platform that helps exhibitors in increasing their brand awareness and their geographical market reach. One of the exhibitors at Media Expo shared a similar sentiment. “We are very happy with Media Expo as it creates a lot of awareness for our brand in the industry. This exhibition has helped us as a brand to expand our market in a lot of places. It has been very supportive and we will definitely participate next year as well,” said Kishore Narayan, Associate Vice President – Sales & Marketing, SRF Ltd.

Whilst exhibition halls were buzzing with business discussions and negotiations, live demonstrations by various machines and bright LED displays kept the crowd enticed. Exhibitors and visitors both seemed convinced on Media Expo being an influential platform in the advertising, marketing, signage and printing industry as it brings the top buyers, decision makers and influencers together under one roof. Acknowledging this, Shamrendra Kumar, Business Head - Graphics, Avery Dennison India Pvt Ltd shared: “Media Expo is a convergence of the entire eco-system under one roof. At this exhibition we meet players from the media, technology, and machine industry. We also get to see new products entering the market here.”

Adding to that thought, a few visitors at Media Expo reckoned that the fair provided unmatched options of a single product in terms of technology and price. Mr Niglish, a signage trader from Gujrat said: “This is my second visit to Media Expo and both years have been wonderful. It’s been a year I have started in this industry and finding so many exhibitors and the kind of facilities that this platform provides is something we can’t get at other exhibitions. A single product like flex also has about seven to eight different suppliers which is not easily available online or in other exhibitions. Here, we get to see the samples, touch them, talk to the owners directly, and close the deals. I would suggest people belonging to this industry to visit the show once as it will be of great help to them.”

Easy availability of upgraded technology in printers and other solutions was another high point of the three-day show. Talking about advanced solutions displayed at the show, Bhavana Saluja from Hewlett Packard (HP) spoke about Messe Frankfurt as a host for Media Expo and HP’s relations with the exhibition company: “This year at Media Expo New Delhi, we have two new machines displayed. These machines have a cutter bundled with the printer, which is a new technology and cuts production time by half. Messe Frankfurt has taken Media Expo to international standards. We have a good relation with them and we will be there in the next edition too.” Other technological developments that caught visitors’ attention were UV Flatbed Printer, PVC-free solutions, backlit flex and LED options, channel letter printers and many more.

The next edition of Media Expo will take place from 22 – 24 February at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai.
